Large-scale Russian Strikes Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks succeed nights of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
