Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first trophy for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents the player's initial championship after the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from March of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 championships at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the first title I won when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had led observers to doubt if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play positively, supported by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent defended four initial opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned victory with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
